All good things must come to an end. Our last day in Brugges was spent doing some 'must dos' on our list. Found a lace museum/ shop for Peggy to make some gift purchases, hunted down a few chocolate shops and bought enough to get us through the next week and enjoyed a bit of sunshine walking around the city. Of course, our day included a beer tasting at De Halve Maan brewery! Peggy and I managed to miss the closing time for the walk up the Belfry for the city view and one last Belgian waffle due to a limited time period in which they are served. No problem...that just means we must return to Brugge again one day! It was great to stay for a week so we could get to know this fabulous medieval village.
Our well-used city map that was taped at the folds...I had to part with it, so a photo will have to suffice as a memory!
Art Brugge Triannual exhibitions throughout the city - this years art theme, 'What if the 5 Million visitors decided to stay in Brugges?' That is a scary thought!
Even the butts of swans are cute!
